So much fabric, glitter, paint, so little time!

I have sooo many things to do, I have fabric laid out on the kitchen table, the lounge room floor and the piano and the ironing board!! Each in it's own little colour lot, the table is retro cute, the lounge room floor is shabby pinks and blues and gingham check, and the piano is all pinks and baby. Not to mention the plastic crates also laden with fabric around the house! When I create something I like to do a whole series or a collection I should say, like at least 3 cushions that go with another three cushions, wall hangings, little embroidered numbers and collages. I try to work on one colour at a time, or rather one series at a time, but then sneaky little ideas creep in and I start planning something new before I have finished the first lot and then that old sleep thing gets in the way! I am supposed to be having a rest in the afternoon, a little Nana nap, but I have too many things to do, I want to play before the kids get home and then when they go to bed. Sometimes like now I sneak a little time in when they are home and watching TV. Oh I really can't work out this photo thing, are you supposed to drag it or something, here I will give it a go. Nope better ask someone. Anyhow these cute little tags are part of the collection I am working on at the moment, there are cushions to go with them and hopefully some wall hangings by the end of the week. I did these cute little rag doll cushions, I hope they turn out the way I imagine.

My houseis in such a state of disarray, I have no idea where to start, so to solve the problem, I shove in some more chocolate/fruit/coffee/tea/whatever's handy and do some sort of sewing. I think I can replace sleep with food, there is however a down side, which would be the fact that my clothes are not quite as comfy as they were a few weeks ago. Oh well will work on that later. Have been out shopping today so tomorrow will have to be a rest day. Speak to you then,TTFN KN Linda.

I am becoming a housewife!

I am becoming a housewife! I mean to say I already have a wonderful husband and three lovely children( sometimes, I mean they are sometimes lovely, not that I sometimes have them) anyway.. this morning I found myself looking through one of the many supermarket catalogues that arrive in our letterbox on mass each week. I had been throwing them away into the recycle bin of course, but this morning I was doing the lets see what is on special and then I can plan some meals around that. There is nothing wrong with that I assure you, in fact when my children were babies I used to do the same thing, except in search of my favourite brand of nappies on sale. The problem now is that it is soo far removed from who I have become in the last few years, it seems odd. That person is disorganised and has food in the fridge that goes out of date before I get to use it, and someone who is always missing the one vital ingredient for any given dish! I have magazines spilling out from every cupboard and in sooo many stacks around the house, I have craft items all over the place, the kitchen/dining area houses paints and ribbons and pretty papers and the sewing machine and the lounge area is just one big sewing basket... I kid you not! I blame this new return to domesticity ( is that right?) on my current inability to drive. Because I can't just run down to the shops or pop out for fabric and coffee, I have had more time at home . And let me tell you, it is one big mess. Hmm, I am just getting used to Blogger as I have a blog page with Laura over at Lilly Cottage and so far, I have wiped out this whole post and then two photos..going well. Hopefully no strange pictures are popping up in the middle of the text. I think I am just going to have to be patient! OK I don't know what I am doing wrong, but I can't seem to find them. Well Stepford wife I am not, I don't think they would write a blog entry anyway.... in fact I think my domestic calling was short lived as there is a pile of folding in the lounge room, not to mention ironing. The call of the new fabric however is much stronger and I must go and make a bag, right now.
In case you were wondering, I have this little extra blog so that I can go on about my weird life, chickens, guinea pigs, dogs, and a cat, my shop, my artworks, my MS and all those other little things that I like to chat about. I will still post for Lilly Cottage, just not as long as these ramblings! Have a wonderful day, I have things finishing on eBay that I must go and check on and I will publish this so I don't lose it and then I will try and find the photos! TTFN KN Linda Lilly Cottage. Ahh just found the photo's they are at the start, how do I change that? Oh I so hate being computer illiterate!
